Entstehung - The making of the dress

Nach diesem Tutorial (engl.) von Cotton and curls habe ich mir aus einem Meter Jerseystoff mit Hilfe eines T-Shirts und eines Maßbandes zunächst eine bemaßte Skizze hergestellt. Dabei bin ich von einem maximalen Bauchumfang von 1,20 m ausgegangen und habe die Seitennähte nach unten hin auf maximal mögliche Breite (1,40 m) angezeichnet.
Using this tutorial from Cotton and curls and with the help of a t-shirt (=model) and a measuring tape I made this sketch for sewing a dress using 1 metre of jersey. I estimated a maximum of 1,20 m for the bump and used all of the width of the fabric (1,40 m) at the hem.

Die Maße habe ich auf den Stoff übertragen und beim Schließen der Seitennähte Ösen für ein Bindeband eingearbeitet. Das habe ich aus Streifen der Reste zusammengefügt, mit Bügelvlies hinterlegt und fertig!
Ich mag es einfach lieber, wenn irgendwo eine Taille sichtbar ist, auch wenn ich jetzt dick und rund werde.
I transferred the measurements to the fabric and sew in loops for the strap while closing the side seams. The strap is made from strips of the left over fabric and has an interface - easily done!
I like it better when there seems to be a waist even though I will become rounder every day.

Wichtig: Das Kleidchen durfte keine eingesetzen Ärmel haben, sonst wäre es viel zu kurz geworden.
Important: There are no set-in sleeves, otherwise the dress would have become too short.
